Freshers 2008: FAQs
When's the start of term?
Freshers' Week begins on Tuesday, 7th October. You'll need to arrive at some point between 10am and 4pm, as there's stuff going on from 5pm. Lectures, tutorials, and proper work begin on Monday, 13th October.
What do I do when I arrive?
When you arrive, park outside the College on Holywell Street, where you'll be greeted by a Second Year who'll give you a parking permit. You'll then be taken to the Lodge to get your room key, where another Second Year will be on hand to help you carry your stuff. Don't worry about going to the College Office to begin with; you can collect your University Card once you've moved in.
Can I find out which room I'm in?
The room list hasn't been put together yet, but it should be done for September. The list might be put on the website or sent to subject parents, so you can find out what your room might be like, and exactly how much stuff you need to bring.
